My cousin Bai Hai
So today has started out to be a nightmare.... Geordy woke me up at 2:30 am to tell me his face was swollen and he didn't know why. So I take a look and it looks terrible! The first thing going through my mind is that he has been bitten by an insect, so I refuse to go back to sleep because I don't know where the insect is or if its poisoness. At 5 am I wake my mom up to tell her and she comes and looks and says immediately its not a bite but an abscessed tooth thats causing the swelling. Ugh... so I get on the phone call his mom and tell her to call his dentist the next day since it was on a sunday to figure out what to do, anyways we get it all figured out and find him the right medicines, Thank GOD! Now we must just deal with the deformed face for our beach vacation, so there will not be too many pics of us posted of our beach vacay! LOL!
We took a high speed ferry to Pho Quoc that took about 1 hour and 15 minutes and once we arrived took a taxi to find a hotel or resort to stay at. It took about an hour but we found a little resort called Mai Spa that I was happy with for $50 a night! They were bungalow style huts that faced the ocean with ac and are clean, good enough for me. And since we were traveling with a big group we need more than one room. Our plan is to stay here until Wednesday. We hired the driver that took us to the hotel to also take us on a tour of the island today, we visited a pearl farm, Sao Beach, a prison that was a concentration camp, a fish sauce factory (which is what Pho Quoc is known for), and the night market that has all kinds of things. The best part was the food at the night market, there is all kinds of vendors who have a grill going and a table full of fresh seafood for you to pick and they grill it for you to eat.. YUMMO!
