Goodbye Phu Quoc!
Today we got up early and had the same yummy breakfast we had yesterday, and then Geordy and I headed to our spa appointments. I had a wonderful hour long facial and he had a hour long Swedish massage... it was pure bliss :) After our appointments we went down to the beach to meet up with the rest of our family and enjoyed the remaining part of our morning enjoying our last day at the beach. I was painfully sun burnt so it was all shade for me! The little boy who was out on the beach yesterday showed up today and I found out his name was Bai Tam, my Mom talked to him in Vietnamese for me and he actually was shy about it, but she told him we were leaving and he just stared back at me. He was so cute I just wanted to take him home! Around 1:00 we packed up and headed to the lobby to wait for our transportation to the ferry and while we waited Geordy and I took advantage of one last foot massage.. hehehe.
So I still brag about this because it just amazes me but we get our bill for the 2 nights at the hotel, two Indian head massages, four foot massages, an hour long massage and hour long facial and its $200!!!!! Now do you see why we took advantage of all the spa services! I could have stayed there for two weeks!
So we get to the ferry on the other side of the island and because of the hills blocking the wind we didn't realize until we got there that it was SUPER windy and the ocean was super rough... ugh not good for us because Geordy and I get sea sick! Thankfully I have good meds for that, but this was bad!! So the first obstacle is getting on this ferry because its so rough the ferry is moving up and down and it looks super dangerous, well lets just say I prayed over and over that I wouldn't fall in, and I didn't but Mom almost did, scared me to death!! We all made it on safe except for the coffee pot my aunt was holding onto, it went overboard. The hour and half ride back to Ha Tien was really rough and we had to listen to a screaming, vomiting baby the entire time, bless his heart. I was so glad when we finally got off that ferry!
Our driver and two other family members were waiting when we got there, so we packed everything into the car and headed back to my Aunt's house, which was about 4 hours away. I was exhausted so I slept most of the way.
