And it begins...

So Thanksgiving was totally different for me this year but not bad different just different. First off we normally just go to my parents in the morning and then my in-laws eat at 5:00 every year. However this year like every single year my Mom calls me to tell me she doesn't like the idea of us having two dinners in one day and she's decided we are changing ours to the Sunday after instead, only this year she really means it and I didn't care! So thats how it went and it really wasn't so bad.

For the last 3 years Geordy and I started this tradition that we would pick out our real tree on thanksgiving morning and have it decorated by thanksgiving evening. I LOVE this new tradition by the way!! There is just something about decorating our home in Christmas stuff that I get a little giddy about. It kind of reminds me of when I was a little girl! This year since we live in a home with vaulted ceilings we picked out the biggest tree on the lot, which I didn't think was that big until it we got it home.... In the end it wasn't that big but sooooo much bigger than what we have had in the past but I LOVVVVVEEEEE IT!! Our tree this year ended up being about 8ft tall and 4ft wide at the bottom but so perfect. Geordy thinks I've gone a little crazy this year because I'm not done, I WANT 2 more trees!! I'm in love with white trees but because they are not so traditional I've stayed away until this year because we now have the space for more than one tree! So Black Friday came around and I ransacked hobby lobby for some real cute ornaments for my WHITE tree. I ordered just a small 4 ft tree from Kohls.com before I purchased all the ornaments so now I'm looking at a 6 ft white tree for our living room and the 4 ft tree will go in the bedroom..... So thats TWO more trees!! YAAAYYY!

So BLACK FRIDAY... Lets just say I was one of those crazies who joined the rest to go shopping at 4 am!!! And then my ever so sweet husband who btw had a 1:00 tee time came with me so I wasn't alone. I did not sleep all night, he however at least got about 5 hours of sleep. So we started mapping out our plan the day before, which btw wasn't much of one and I really didn't need anything, I think I just really wanted to go. We went to Owasso because its convenience of all the stores being right there, and I have to tell you that might have been the biggest mistake, first off Target was A ZOO of people and had 2 lines that wrapped around the perimeter of the entire store!!!!!! It wasn't worth any money for me to stand in that line! And it was pretty much like that everywhere, so if you did end up wanting something you didn't have the patience to wait in line for it. At the end of our shopping adventure we ended up with some pretty good buys on a few things like some luggage for my upcoming trip to Vietnam (more info. to come), OXO airtight storage containers 40% off, and lots of Christmas decorations. I did buy a Sony Bloggie which is like the Flip but have decided I don't like it so we are taking it back. Now I definitely figured out that online shopping is the way to go, I ordered clothes of Express.com that were 40% off, Kohls had great sales online on Christmas decorations and EVEN APPLE had a sale, not much of one but its still something!! So I ordered my ipad!!!!!! Blogging made easy if you ask me!

Ok so I've been getting pretty crafty and with all the Christmas decorating I decided I could make my own wreath for much less than purchasing one already decorated, so here it is.

Heres our Christmas tree "the real one".

Here are some close-ups of our ornaments.

And heres some of my niece Natalie's Christmas Pictures
