Penelope turns TWO!

Two years!!! How did another year go by so fast?  We just celebrated this sweet girls second birthday and it was a blast!  There was about 50 people there and P had so much fun at her Peppa Pig birthday party!  I think next year will be a small party since she's had two big ones... We'll see how that goes :) 

In the last 6 months she has learned to count to 11 but won't say the number 4, she knows all of her colors but can't say orange!!  She is constantly singing and her favorite songs are twinkle, twinkle, ba ba black sheep, Itsy bitsy spider and you are my sunshine.. Oh and we can't forget daddy finger from YouTube videos!  She loves the phone and her iPad so she can watch YouTube!  She knows most of her abc's and we are working on the whole song and recognizing the letters.  Her favorite toys are Peppa pig, her roller coaster, the trampoline, play-doh, and anything that comes out of a quarter machine.  She loves to draw, color and paint.  She has shown lots of interest in building things.  She loves bathtime and anything to do with water.  Big Splash is one of her favorite places to swim.  She's also afraid of a lot of things and can be really sensitive.  Lots of people singing happy birthday makes her cry and so do loud sounds like trains and motorcycles.

We can now skip naps and they very rarely effect her mood.  Her favorite foods are hot dogs, Mac n cheese, pizza, Cheetos, grapes, strawberries, chicken nuggets, apples and fruit snacks.  She also loves all soups and is great eater but won't drink any milk.  Last time I checked she weighed 35.6 pounds and was 36 inches tall.  She wears a 3T and size 7 shoe.  She now requests for bows because she knows it keeps her hair out of her face.  She has shown lots of interest in using the potty so we are slowly potty training her.  In October P will become a big sister to a little brother named Quinn and she can now say his name and kiss my belly when I ask her to kiss her baby brother.  

Penelope has grown up so much lately and I am loving this age!  She can understand everything we say and ask of her.  She doesn't get into as much and understands when we say no.  She recently learned to climb into her own car seat and is working on buckling herself in (I will always double check it).  Anna is still her bestfriend and she giggles non stop when Anna is around.  She still feeds the dogs and is acknowledging them more every day!  I really want to soak in the next few months while she is still only child.  Daddy is still her favorite guy and she loves to eat his food!  In September she starts pre school 2 days a week.  I wish time would stand still so I can soak up this time with her, but I also can't wait to find out what kind of woman this little lady is going to be.  I have no doubt she will be a great big sister to Quinn!  We love you Nellie D!  You are so beautiful and have brought so much joy to this entire family!!
